Leaving Shared Leads Behind: A Phoenix Service Company Builds Its Own Pipeline
A new company with a strong service and no marketing. Referrals were good; the lead marketplace wasn't, sending property managers and real estate agents who couldn't approve the work.
jobs per month from its own site and ads, up from 0
average cost per click, down from $15.27
new users to the website

The challenge
The Wix website was broken in places and couldn't rank. Shared leads from a marketplace cost too much for what they produced, and many weren't decision-makers.
What we did
- Technical audit, then a move from Wix to WordPress with a redesign
- Fixed broken links, 404 pages and awkward navigation
- Optimized existing content and handed over a content plan for the team
- Keyword and competitor research, then Google Ads aimed at homeowners
- Kept refining the ads until they drew more clicks for less
The results
Within seven months the company was booking a steady 25 jobs a month from channels it owns, aiming for 29. The average cost per click dropped from $15.27 to $5.21 while average clicks per ad rose from 110 to 349, and new users to the site grew 502%.
What this means for a plumbing shop
Plumbers know the shared-lead routine: the same job sent to four companies and a race to call first. Your own site and ads (plus LSA, where the lead is yours alone) cost more effort up front, but you stop renting your pipeline. Mold and water damage also sit close to plumbing work, so this customer looks a lot like yours.
About this case study. This client is a mold removal business, not a plumbing company. The work was done by Logic Inbound, part of the same company as Plumbing Inbound. Figures come from the original write-up: read the original case study.
